This Saturday, February 23rd, Steel Lake Little League will hold Player Assessments for all Softball and Baseball Players Ages 8 and older. We will hold the assessments in the gymnasium at Illahee Middle School. Please bring indoor athletic shoes only. If you are unable to attend this session there will be a makeup on Monday 2/25 at the FWNLL complex. The schedule for the day is below.
8 and 9 year old Baseball and ALL Softball Players (Ages 8 and older)
- Check-In 9:30AM
- Assessments 10AM-Noon
10, 11, and 12 year old Baseball Players
- Check-In 11:30AM
- Assessments Noon-2PM

PARKING - The back gate (south gate off of 1st Ave) will be unlocked for parking by the football field and the back of the school.
This is an indoor gymnasium. No gum, seeds, or cleats!
Standard baseball cleats with moulded soles are OK! (GYM is Athletic Shoes ONLY!)
Players should come prepared in athletic or baseball wear with a glove, bat, helmet and a hat.
Steel Lake Little League does have a few bats and helmets available for those who need to use them.
Players will be evaluated on the following:
- Infield grounding and throwing to 1st base.
- Running the bases.
- Hitting live pitches and bunting.
- Fielding fly balls and throwing to the infield.
