STEEL LAKE LITTLE LEAGUE'S NEW SITE

Today is an exciting day for Steel Lake Little League! It marks a change in the look, feel, and capabilities of Steel Lake Little League's online presence. Steel Lake has partnered with Blue Sombrero, a Dick's Sporting Goods company, to create a brand new website. This new website will change a lot, both behind the scenes and the look and feel of the site. You might be asking a few questions about why, and we'll try our best to answer some of them here. Here are some key benefits that drove the move to a new host partner:

• Little League International highly recommends a Blue Sombrero site
• Using Blue Sombrero allows Steel Lake to have official Little League International branding and links for you to have instant access to information that's important to know during your time with Little League.
• The Little League International affiliation also means that all required information for operating the league are automatically uploaded to Little League when you register your child. 
• There is no cost for having Blue Sombrero host our site. Our previous provider did. The only fee we will see is a small percentage on credit card transactions.
•  The team communication tools are better and easier to use. Starting next spring, we'll be able to use GameChanger's Team Manager tool to improve parent/coach communications.
• Better communication interface online. Easier ways to communicate to you, the parents, volunteers, players, and families of our league.
• A dedicated Store Front. The 'Store' Fanwear Link will allow you to order Steel Lake merchandise. When you make an order, 7.5% of each order (no minimum or maximum orders) will come back to the league as cash back.

Of course, with change, it does create some minor actions that need to be taken by you, our Steel Lake Families:

• We own a new website name, so you have to bookmark a new site.
• None of the previous registration/account information for volunteers and players will be able to be imported into the new website. You'll need to make sure that you click on the 'Register' Button and create an account on this site. We highly recommend doing this now, even if you aren't able to register for a season at this point. It will save some time when it is time to register your child to play or for you to volunteer as a coach or team volunteer!
